Looking for a family-friendly local church?

If you are looking for a family-friendly local church, then this page is for you. We understand that you may have questions about our church before visiting, so these are the ones most frequently asked. If you still have questions, feel free to call our office at 252-946-6185 or email us at [email protected]. We would love the opportunity to connect with you.

Why should I come for a visit?

Hope Church is a family-friendly local church growing in numbers and ministries, but most importantly, we’ve been growing spiritually. We believe that warm, sincere relationships are important for our community, and we offer many opportunities to connect with others. We’ve made many changes over the last few years, and we continue to adapt in order to provide a welcoming environment for you and your family. Come for a visit and see for yourself!

Who are the pastors?

Pastors Kyle and Stephanie Miller lead our church. They are transplants from Texas. You can find more about them on our leadership page.

What are the service times?

Sunday church services, kids church, and nursery all happen each Sunday at 10:35 am. We recommend checking in your children or babies by 10:20 am to allow yourself time to prepare for morning worship.

On Wednesday nights, we have Bible study for adults in the sanctuary, a girls program (Hope Girls), and a nursery, all located in Building 2. We have a boys program (Royal Rangers) in the FLC (Building 3), and the youth meet in Building 1.

What are your main services like?

We have lively worship services in our sanctuary that incorporate a live band leading an exciting blend of traditional hymns and choruses, as well as contemporary music. You can view past services on our Facebook or YouTube pages. We encourage people to sing, clap their hands, or worship in a manner comfortable to them. Pastor Kyle brings a message that is bible based and relevant to faith today. Oh, we encourage our guests to dress casually. Suits are allowed, but so are jeans and even shorts (as long as modesty prevails).

The bottom line: Dress comfortably

What kind of activities do you have for my children?

Every Sunday morning, we offer an energetic kid’s church program called Hope Kidz. It is located in the Genesis Building (Building 1), and is designed educate and enhance kid’s understanding of the Bible and faith through an interactive and fun environment. Hope Church is family-friendly, offering a variety of activities in a local church.

How do I know my children will be safe?

Good question! Each leader in our children’s ministries is subject to a criminal background check. In addition, we only allow church members to be involved in these ministries, so only the people we have gotten the opportunity to know personally will be caring for your children.

Do you have a nursery or area for nursing mothers?

Yes…both! We have a nursery that is ready for you and your baby. Located upstairs in the Worship Center (Building 2), our nursery staff is ready to offer friendly and capable service to allow you the freedom to worship worry-free. If you are not comfortable leaving your baby, we understand, so we have a separate room set up for you to change diapers or nurse. Services are provided via video feed, so you won’t have to miss a thing.

Do I have to give my personal information?

No, you do not. We do ask that you share just a tiny amount of data with us so that we can connect with you and your family better and let you know about events and activities in which you may want to become involved. Rest assured, your information is not shared with other parties.

Do I have to give an offering?

Nope. We offer several avenues to make giving or your tithes and offerings easier. And, while we believe in the importance of giving back to God a portion of the blessings he has given us, your giving is optional. All offerings are tax-deductible.

Are your beliefs Christian?

Absolutely! We are part of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, the largest Pentecostal fellowship in the world, and the North Carolina District. You can find out more about our beliefs on our beliefs page.
